Where is the database world heading to, and how is PostgreSQL suited for this journey?

The continued enhancement of performance and scalability features makes PostgreSQL an even more compelling choice for enterprises dealing with large and complex datasets. Postgres is now a robust ecosystem, not only for classical transaction processing, but also as a platform that can deliver data for any need in a form suitable for every purpose.

AI - pg_vector, geo data - postGIS, analytics - logical replication.

As Postgres support is our key service, this is a positive outlook for us as a company.

How does PostgreSQL help you bring value to your customers?

Smaller startups that we work with benefit from Postgres’ potential for future scalability while larger enterprises, with our help, achieve maximum performance, data resilience and security.

They are also able to concentrate on how they want to use their data rather than spending time operating it. From transaction processing to data analytics at any scale; from feeding data into their AI models to processing the output. Postgres delivers it all!

Postgres provides the speed and the reliability that any business requires to stay ahead of the curve!

Which of your company's contributions to the PostgreSQL Project (code/community/conference/sponsorship) are you most proud of?

As a company built on PostgreSQL success, supporting the community has always been one of our pillars.

Our team contributes to the success of various open-source tools in the Postgres ecosystem, including Patroni and pgBackRest; to the translation of PostgreSQL Code of Conduct to multiple languages; advocating for PostgreSQL by organising and speaking at local meetup groups in Germany and Belgium.

We also developed a variety of utilities to ease Postgres administration - those are freely available on our GitHub.

What makes your company a great place to work?

The ability of our team to contribute to the PostgreSQL project is paramount to our success as a company. As such, our DBAs can spend up to 30 percent of their time on community projects as part of their job.

Since we work solely with 'vanilla' Postgres, our DBAs can fully focus on PostgreSQL internals and closely follow database developments. This proves especially beneficial when planning architectural database changes in our clients' infrastructure.

As a firm that serves clients with a wide variety of database installations and stacks, our team is exposed to various solutions in the Postgres ecosystem, allowing our DBA to become cutting-edge professionals in the field.
